Textile Atlas Moth Brooch Brown Linen store
The atlas moth is one of the world's biggest moths with a wingspan of 10-12 inches.
I used linen, felt, water-based fabric paint and vintage lace as a stencil to create this fabric Atlas Moth (Attacus Atlas) to bring you a realistic yet wearable insect brooch. It's big, but not life-sized!
The atlas moth is one of the world's biggest moths with a wingspan of 10-12 inches.
My fabric version has a wingspan of 6" and is 4" high (15.25 x 10 cm).
The body is stuffed with polyfil.
Backed with wool felt. Scraps of satin for the white triangle markings. Machine stitched veins.
Wear it at your shoulder, on the back of a tank top, on a pocket, on your sleeve...show your love of these elegant insects!
